English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Amr, from Salim, from his father, tracing it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "If a slave is jointly owned by two men, and one of them frees his share, and he is wealthy, then he shall be assessed a fair value, without loss or excess, and then [the slave] shall be freed entirely."
