حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعَ عَمْرٌو ابْنَ عُمَرَ كُنَّا نُخَابِرُ وَلَا نَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا حَتَّى زَعَمَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ فَتَرَكْنَاهُ.
English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us: he said 'Amr heard Ibn 'Umar say: "We used to practice mukhabara (share-cropping) and saw no harm in it, until Rafi' ibn Khadij claimed that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had forbidden it, so we gave it up."
