حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ سَمِعْتُ بُرْدًا عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَبِيتُ أَحَدٌ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ مَكْتُوبَةٌ قَالَ فَمَا بِتُّ مِنْ لَيْلَةٍ بَعْدُ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتِي عِنْدِي مَوْضُوعَةٌ.
English Translation
Mu'tamir told us, I heard Burd, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No man should spend three nights except that his will is written down with him." He said: I have not spent a night since then except that my will has been placed with me.
