حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ سَأَلَ وَلَهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِ جَاءَتْ مَسْأَلَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خُدُوشًا أَوْ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا غِنَاهُ قَالَ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ حِسَابُهَا مِنْ الذَّهَبِ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Shall I not tell you of the greatest of the major sins?' They said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Associating partners with Allah and being undutiful to parents.' He was reclining and sat up straight and said: 'And false testimony — and false testimony — and false testimony.' He kept repeating it until we wished he would stop.
