حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ عَنْ كُرْدُوسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ مَرَّ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدَهُ خَبَّابٌ وَصُهَيْبٌ وَبِلَالٌ وَعَمَّارٌ فَقَالُوا يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَرَضِيتَ بِهَؤُلَاءِ فَنَزَلَ فِيهِمْ الْقُرْآنُ { وَأَنْذِرْ بِهِ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْ يُحْشَرُوا إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالظَّالِمِينَ }.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'I will be at the Hawd (Pool), and some men from among you will be brought to me, and when I reach out to give them (water), they will be pulled away from me. I will say: O Lord, my companions! And it will be said: You do not know what they innovated after you.'
