حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الطِّيَرَةُ شِرْكٌ وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُذْهِبُهُ بِالتَّوَكُّلِ.
English Translation
Waki’ told us: Sufyan told us, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Isa ibn Asim, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Belief in bad omens is shirk, and there is none of us free from it, but Allah removes it through reliance upon Him."
