English Translation
Abd al-Samad and Hasan told us, they said: Thabit told us - Hasan said "Abu Zayd", Abd al-Samad said - he said: Hilal told us, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was taken on the Night Journey to Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), then he came back that same night and told them of his journey, of the description of Bayt al-Maqdis, and of their caravan." Some people said - Hasan said - "'We believe Muhammad in what he says,' while others turned back as disbelievers, so Allah struck their necks along with Abu Jahl." Abu Jahl said: "Muhammad frightens us with the tree of Zaqqum - bring dates and butter, so let us feast on rich food!" And he saw the Dajjal in his true form - a vision with the eye, not a vision in a dream - and Isa, Musa, and Ibrahim, the blessings of Allah be upon them. So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the Dajjal, and he said: "A ruddy, whitish man." Hasan said: he said: "I saw him as a huge man, ruddy and whitish, one of his eyes protruding as though it were a shining star, the hair of his head like the branches of a tree. And I saw Isa as a young man, white, with curly hair, sharp of sight, of well-proportioned build. And I saw Musa as dark-skinned, tawny, with abundant hair" - Hasan said "hair" - "of strong build. And I looked at Ibrahim, and I do not look at any part of him but that I see it resembling myself, as if he were your own companion." Then Jibril, peace be upon him, said: "Greet Malik [the keeper of Hellfire]," so I greeted him.
