حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلَاثًا يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَتَوَضَّأُ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Rawh told us: al-Awza'i told us, from al-Muttalib ibn Abdillah, who said: "Ibn Umar used to perform ablution washing each part three times, attributing this to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while Ibn Abbas used to perform ablution washing each part once, attributing this to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him."
