حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ أَنَّ جَنَازَةً مَرَّتْ بِالْحَسَنِ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَامَ الْحَسَنُ وَلَمْ يَقُمْ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَقَامَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ قَامَ وَقَعَدَ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians exaggerated about the son of Maryam. I am only a servant, so say: the servant of Allah and His Messenger.'
