حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ يَزِيدَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُوُفِّيَ يَوْمَ تُوُفِّيَ وَدِرْعُهُ مَرْهُونَةٌ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ الْيَهُودِ بِوَسْقٍ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ.
English Translation
Hashim narrated to us, Abd al-Hamid narrated to me, Shahr ibn Hawshab narrated to me. He said: Asma' bint Yazid narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away on the day he passed away while his armor was mortgaged with a Jewish man for a wasq (measure) of barley.
