حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ يُرْسِلُ إِلَى أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ فَتَبِيتُ عِنْدَ نِسَائِهِ وَيَسْأَلُهَا عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَقَامَ لَيْلَةً فَدَعَا خَادِمَهُ فَأَبْطَأَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَلَعَنَهَا فَقَالَتْ لَا تَلْعَنْ فَإِنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّعَّانِينَ لَا يَكُونُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شُهَدَاءَ وَلَا شُفَعَاءَ.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam. He said: Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan used to send for Umm al-Darda', and she would spend the night with his wives, and he would ask her about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He said: One night he got up and called his servant, but she was slow to respond, so he cursed her. Umm al-Darda' said: "Do not curse, for Abu al-Darda' told me that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'Those who curse will not be intercessors or witnesses on the Day of Resurrection.'"
