English Translation
Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, Sharik informed us, from Simak, from Abdullah ibn Umayrah, from Durrah bint Abi Lahab, who said: I was with Aisha when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered and said: "Bring me water for ablution." She said: I and Aisha both rushed to the jug, and I took it, and he performed ablution. Then he raised his gaze to me - or his glance toward me - and said: "You are from me and I am from you." She said: Then a man was brought before him, and he said: "I did not do it; rather it was said to me." She said: He had asked him on the pulpit: "Who are the best of people?" He said: "The most knowledgeable of them in the religion of Allah, and the most maintaining of ties of kinship." Sharik mentioned two other things in it that I did not memorize.
