حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ وَشُعَيْبُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُدَيْجٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أُخْتَهُ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ الَّذِي يُجَامِعُهَا فِيهِ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهِ أَذًى.
English Translation
Hajjaj and Shu'ayb ibn Harb told us, they said Layth told us, he said Yazid ibn Abi Habib told me, from Suwayd ibn Qays, from Mu'awiyah ibn Hudayj, from Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, that he asked his sister Umm Habibah, wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray in the same single garment in which he had marital relations with her?" She said, "Yes, when there was no impurity in it."
