English Translation
Surayj told us, he said Abdullah ibn al-Mu'ammal told us, from Umar ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Ata' ibn Abi Rabah, from Safiyyah bint Shaybah, from Habibah bint Abi Tajrah, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, circumambulating between al-Safa and al-Marwah, with the people ahead of him and he behind them, striving until I could see his knees from the intensity of his effort, his waist-wrapper turning about, and he was saying, "Strive, for Allah has prescribed for you the striving."
