حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُدَيْجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ غَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Ishaq told us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Suwayd ibn Qays, from Mu'awiyah ibn Hudayj, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A morning expedition or an afternoon expedition in the way of Allah is better than the world and all that is in it."
