حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَبَّانُ عَنْ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ تَقُولُ خَرَجْتُ مِنْ الْحَمَّامِ فَلَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مِنْ أَيْنَ يَا أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَتْ مِنْ الْحَمَّامِ فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا مِنْ امْرَأَةٍ تَضَعُ ثِيَابَهَا فِي غَيْرِ بَيْتِ أَحَدٍ مِنْ أُمَّهَاتِهَا إِلَّا وَهِيَ هَاتِكَةٌ كُلَّ سِتْرٍ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَبَّانُ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ تَقُولُ خَرَجْتُ مِنْ الْحَمَّامِ فَلَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَهُ.
English Translation
Hasan narrated to us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, he said: Zabban narrated to us, from Sahl, from his father, that he heard Umm al-Darda' say: I came out of the bathhouse and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, met me and said: Where from, O Umm al-Darda'? She said: From the bathhouse. He said: By the One in whose hand is my soul, there is no woman who removes her garments in a place other than the house of one of her mothers, but she has torn every veil between herself and the Merciful. Yahya ibn Ghaylan narrated to us, he said: Rishdin narrated to us, he said: Zabban narrated to me, from Sahl ibn Mu'adh, from his father, that he heard Umm al-Darda' say: I came out of the bathhouse and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, met me, and he mentioned it.
