English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil, he said: al-Rubayyi' bint Mu'awwidh ibn 'Afra' narrated to me, she said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to come to us frequently. He came to us, and we set out for him the water-vessel for ablution. He performed ablution: he washed his palms three times, rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose once each, washed his face three times and his forearms three times, and wiped his head with what remained of his ablution-water in his hands, twice, beginning from the back, then bringing his hand back to his forelock; and he washed his feet three times, and wiped his ears, their front and back.
