حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ يَعْنِي أَبَاهُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ أَنَّ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا الْجَرَّاحِ مَوْلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَصْحَبُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ قَوْمًا فِيهِمْ جَرَسٌ.
English Translation
Ya'qub told us: I heard him - meaning his father - relate, from Yazid b. Abdullah b. Usamah b. al-Had, that Salim b. Abdullah b. Umar told him that Abu al-Jarrah, the freed slave of Umm Habibah, informed him that Umm Habibah, the wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, related to him that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The angels do not accompany a group that has a bell with them."
