حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ وَحَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَا أَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْأَمَةِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِنِسَائِهِ عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ هَذِهِ ثُمَّ ظُهُورَ الْحُصْرِ قَالَ فَكُنَّ كُلُّهُنَّ يَحْجُجْنَ إِلَّا زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ جَحْشٍ وَسَوْدَةَ بِنْتَ زَمْعَةَ وَكَانَتَا تَقُولَانِ وَاللَّهِ لَا تُحَرِّكُنَا دَابَّةٌ بَعْدَ أَنْ سَمِعْنَا ذَلِكَ مِنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَتَا وَاللَّهِ لَا تُحَرِّكُنَا دَابَّةٌ بَعْدَ قَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذِهِ ثُمَّ ظُهُورَ الْحُصْرِ وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ بَعْدَ أَنْ سَمِعْنَا ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Hajjaj told us, and Yazid b. Harun told us - they said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated it, and Ishaq b. Sulayman said: I heard Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from Salih, the freed slave of al-Taw'amah, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his wives in the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage: "This, then afterward staying at home." He said: So all of them performed the pilgrimage except Zaynab bint Jahsh and Sawdah bint Zam'ah, who used to say, "By Allah, no riding beast will move us after we heard that from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him." Ishaq b. Sulayman said in his narration: "They said, 'By Allah, no riding beast will move us after the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "This, then afterward staying at home."'" And Yazid said: "after we heard that from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him."
