حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ تَوْبَةَ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَصُومُ مِنْ السَّنَةِ شَهْرًا تَامًّا يُعْلَمُ إِلَّا شَعْبَانَ يَصِلُ بِهِ رَمَضَانَ.
English Translation
Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ja'far, who said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Tawbah al-'Anbari, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Salamah, from Umm Salamah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he did not fast an entire month of the year known for certain except Sha'ban, which he joined to Ramadan.
