حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ الصَّعْبَ بْنَ جَثَّامَةَ اللَّيْثِيَّ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ بِقُدَيْدٍ عَجُزَ حِمَارٍ فَرَدَّهُ وَهُوَ يَقْطُرُ دَمًا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَدَّهُ.
English Translation
Al-Sa'b ibn Jaththamah al-Laythi gifted the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) the hindquarter of a wild donkey at Qudayd while he was in ihram, and he returned it while it was dripping with blood. Shu'bah also narrated from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) returned it.
