حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بُدَيْلٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا لَا تَلْبَسُ الْمُعَصْفَرَةَ مِنْ الثِّيَابِ وَلَا الْمُمَشَّقَةَ وَلَا الْحُلِيَّ وَلَا تَخْتَضِبُ وَلَا تَكْتَحِلُ.
English Translation
Narrated to us by Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr, who said: Ibrahim ibn Tahman narrated to us, who said: Budayl narrated to me, from al-Hasan ibn Muslim, from Safiyyah bint Shaybah, from Umm Salamah, wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: "A woman whose husband has died shall not wear dyed clothing, nor ochre-tinted clothing, nor jewelry, nor apply henna, nor apply kohl."
