حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ حِضْتُ وَأَنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَوْبٍ قَالَتْ فَانْسَلَلْتُ فَقَالَ أَنُفِسْتِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَجَدْتُ مَا تَجِدُ النِّسَاءُ قَالَ ذَاكَ مَا كُتِبَ عَلَى بَنَاتِ آدَمَ قَالَتْ فَانْطَلَقْتُ فَأَصْلَحْتُ مِنْ شَأْنِي فَاسْتَثْفَرْتُ بِثَوْبٍ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَدَخَلْتُ مَعَهُ فِي لِحَافِهِ.
English Translation
Yazid b. Harun told us, he said Muhammad - meaning Ibn 'Amr - informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Umm Salamah, who said: I menstruated while I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) under one garment. She said: I slipped away, and he said, "Have you begun your period?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have experienced what women experience." He said, "That is what has been decreed for the daughters of Adam." She said: I went and put my affairs in order, then bound a cloth around myself, then came back and got in with him under his covering.
