حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّازِيُّ وَهُوَ خَتَنُ سَلَمَةَ الْأَبْرَشِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ابْنَةِ عُمَرَ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يَأْتِي جَيْشٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ يُرِيدُونَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا بِالْبَيْدَاءِ خُسِفَ بِهِمْ فَرَجَعَ مَنْ كَانَ أَمَامَهُمْ لِيَنْظُرَ مَا فَعَلَ الْقَوْمُ فَيُصِيبَهُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ كَانَ مِنْهُمْ مُسْتَكْرَهًا قَالَ يُصِيبُهُمْ كُلَّهُمْ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ كُلَّ امْرِئٍ عَلَى نِيَّتِهِ.
English Translation
Ishaq b. Ibrahim al-Razi - who was the son-in-law of Salamah al-Abrash - told us, he said Salamah told us, he said Muhammad b. Ishaq told me, from 'Asim b. 'Umar b. Qatadah, from 'Abd al-Rahman b. Musa, from 'Abdullah b. Safwan, from Hafsah bint 'Umar, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "An army will come from the east seeking a man from the people of Makkah, until, when they are at al-Bayda', they will be swallowed up by the earth. Those in front of them will turn back to see what happened to the people, and the same fate will befall them as befell the others." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what about one among them who was forced against his will?" He said, "That same fate will befall all of them; then Allah will raise up every person according to his intention."
