حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ وَكَانَتْ سَاعَةٌ لَا يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهِ فِيهَا أَحَدٌ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ حِينَ يَطْلُعُ الْفَجْرُ تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيُنَادِي الْمُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ أُرَاهُ قَالَ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ.
English Translation
Isma'il ibn Ibrahim told us: Ayyub told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: Hafsah told me - and there was an hour during which no one entered upon him - that he used to pray two rak'ahs when dawn broke, meaning the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the caller would call to prayer. Ayyub said: I think he said, two light ones.
