حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِبِنَاءِ الْمَسَاجِدِ فِي الدُّورِ وَأَمَرَ بِهَا أَنْ تُنَظَّفَ وَتُطَيَّبَ.
English Translation
Amir ibn Salih told us: Hisham ibn Urwah told me, from his father, from Aisha, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered that mosques be built in the residential quarters, and ordered that they be kept clean and perfumed.
