حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبَّادٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ لَمَّا بَعَثَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ فِي فِدَاءِ أَسْرَاهُمْ بَعَثَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي فِدَاءِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بِمَالٍ وَبَعَثَتْ فِيهِ بِقِلَادَةٍ لَهَا كَانَتْ لِخَدِيجَةَ أَدْخَلَتْهَا بِهَا عَلَى أَبِي الْعَاصِ حِينَ بَنَى عَلَيْهَا قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا رَآهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَقَّ لَهَا رِقَّةً شَدِيدَةً وَقَالَ إِنْ رَأَيْتُمْ أَنْ تُطْلِقُوا لَهَا أَسِيرَهَا وَتَرُدُّوا عَلَيْهَا الَّذِي لَهَا فَافْعَلُوا فَقَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَأَطْلَقُوهُ وَرَدُّوا عَلَيْهَا الَّذِي لَهَا.
English Translation
Ya'qub told us: My father told us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Yahya ibn Abbad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr told me, from his father Abbad, from Aisha, wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: When the people of Makkah sent to ransom their captives, Zaynab, daughter of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent wealth to ransom Abu al-As ibn al-Rabi', and she sent with it a necklace of hers that had belonged to Khadijah, which she had worn when she was brought in to Abu al-As at their marriage consummation. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw it, he was deeply moved with tenderness for her, and said, "If you see fit to release her captive for her and return to her what is hers, then do so." They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah," so they released him and returned to her what was hers.
