حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِمَارَةَ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ المُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ مَا عَلِمْنَا بِدَفْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى سَمِعْنَا صَوْتَ الْمَسَاحِي مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ لَيْلَةَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ قَالَ مَحَمَّدٌ وَقَدْ حَدَّثَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.
English Translation
Ya'qub narrated to us: My father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Hazm narrated to me, from his wife Fatima bint Muhammad ibn Imara, from Amra bint Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa'd ibn Zurara, from Aisha, Mother of the Believers, who said: We did not know of the burial of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, until we heard the sound of the digging tools in the depth of the night on the eve of Wednesday. Muhammad said: And Fatima narrated this hadith to me.
