حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ دَخَلَتْ عَلَيَّ يَهُودِيَّةٌ فَقَالَتْ شَعَرْتُ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ قَالَتْ فَسَمِعَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَارْتَاعَ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يُفْتَنُ الْيَهُودُ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَلَبِثْتُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لَيَالِيَ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَلْ شَعَرْتِ أَنَّهُ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ.
English Translation
Ya'qub narrated to us: Ibn Akhi Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from his uncle, who said: Urwa ibn al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Aisha say: A Jewish woman entered upon me and said, "I sense that you all are tried in your graves." She said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, heard that and was alarmed, then said, "Only the Jews are tried." Aisha said: Then I remained for some nights after that, and then the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Do you know that it has been revealed to me that you all are indeed tried in your graves?"
