حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُهْدِيَتْ لَهُ قِلَادَةُ جَزْعٍ فَقَالَ لَأَدْفَعَنَّهَا إِلَى أَحَبِّ أَهْلِي إِلَيَّ فَقَالَتْ النِّسَاءُ ذَهَبَتْ بِهَا ابْنَةُ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ فَعَلَّقَهَا فِي عُنُقِ أُمَامَةَ بِنْتِ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Yunus and Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salama narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Umm Muhammad, from Aisha: that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was given a necklace of onyx beads as a gift, and he said, "I will certainly give it to the one most beloved to me among my family." The women said, "The daughter of Abu Quhafa took it," and she hung it on the neck of Umamah, daughter of Zaynab, daughter of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him.
