حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى صَلَاةً دَاوَمَ عَلَيْهَا وَكَانَ أَحَبُّ الصَّلَاةِ إِلَيْهِ مَا دَاوَمَ عَلَيْهَا وَإِنْ قَلَّتْ وَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا.
English Translation
Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prayed the Isha prayer, then prayed eight rak'ahs and two rak'ahs sitting, and two rak'ahs between the two calls to prayer, and he never left those.
