قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ وَرْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ حُوسِبَ هَلَكَ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَيْسَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا } قَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ ذَاكَ الْعَرْضُ مَنْ نُوقِشَ الْحِسَابَ فَقَدْ هَلَكَ.
English Translation
He said: Waki' narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Jabbar ibn Ward narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever is called to strict account is ruined." She said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, does not Allah, Mighty and Sublime, say, {He will be reckoned with an easy reckoning}?" He said, "O Aisha, that is merely the presentation of deeds; whoever is scrutinized in the reckoning is ruined."
