حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا أَصَابَ الْمُؤْمِنَ شَوْكَةٌ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا تَعْنِي إِلَّا كَانَ كَفَّارَةً لَهُ.
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, from Aisha, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "No thorn, nor anything greater than it, afflicts the believer, except that it is an expiation for him."
