حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَأْكُلَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ.
English Translation
Waki' narrated from Shu'bah, and Muhammad said: Shu'bah narrated to us from al-Hakam from Ibrahim - Muhammad said: I heard Ibrahim - from al-Aswad from Aisha, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whenever he wished to sleep or eat while in a state of major impurity, would perform ablution.
