حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ الْآيَاتُ الْأَوَاخِرُ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ قَرَأَهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَحَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated from Shu'bah, he said: Mansur narrated to me from Muslim from Masruq from Aisha: When the final verses of Surat al-Baqarah were revealed, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recited them to the people and forbade trading in wine.
