English Translation
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated from Ibrahim ibn Sa'd from al-Zuhri, and Abu Kamil said Ibrahim narrated to us, he said Ibn Shihab narrated to us from Amrah from Aisha, who said: Umm Habibah bint Jahsh came - Abu Kamil said 'Umm Habib' - to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. She had suffered prolonged bleeding for seven years and complained of that to him and sought his ruling about it. He said: 'This is not menstruation but a ruptured blood vessel, so wash yourself and pray.' She used to wash for every prayer and pray, and she used to sit in a basin, and the redness of the blood would rise above the water, then she would pray.
