حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ دَخَلَ نِسْوَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ أَنْتُنَّ اللَّاتِي تَدْخُلْنَ الْحَمَّامَاتِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْ امْرَأَةٍ وَضَعَتْ ثِيَابَهَا فِي غَيْرِ بَيْتِهَا إِلَّا هَتَكَتْ سِتْرًا بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ إِلَّا هَتَكَتْ سِتْرَهَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Hajjaj told us, they said: Shu'bah told us, from Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Abu al-Malih -- Hajjaj said: from a man -- who said: Some women from the people of Syria entered upon Aishah, and she said: "Are you the ones who enter the public baths? The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'There is no woman who takes off her clothes in other than her own house, except that she has torn away a veil between herself and Allah, Mighty and Majestic.'" Hajjaj said: "except that she has torn her veil." Abd al-Razzaq told us, he said: Sufyan informed us, from Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Abu al-Malih, from Aishah, who said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him..." and he mentioned the same meaning.
