English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us: Hisham ibn Urwah narrated to us, from his father, from Aisha: that she used to reproach the women who offered themselves to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: Does a woman not feel shame to offer herself without a dowry? Then there was revealed -- or she said, then Allah, Mighty and Sublime, revealed -- {You may put off whom you will of them, and take to yourself whom you will, and whomever you seek of those you had set aside, there is no blame upon you} -- she said: I see your Lord, Mighty and Sublime, hastening to fulfill your desire.
