English Translation
Aisha said: The household of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a wild [pet] animal. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out, it would run about, play, and go back and forth. But when it sensed that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had come in, it would crouch down and stay perfectly still, for fear of disturbing him.
