حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ قَوْمًا اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ قَوْمًا وَقَالَ الْخَفَّافُ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ قَوْمًا اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ.
English Translation
Aisha reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed a people who took the graves of their prophets as places of worship. [In another version it is worded: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed a people; and in another: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Allah has cursed a people who took the graves of their prophets as places of worship."]
