حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ يُصَابُ بِهَا مُسْلِمٌ إِلَّا كُفِّرَ عَنْهُ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشَاكُهَا.
English Translation
Ali ibn Ishaq told us: Abdullah informed us: Yunus informed us, from al-Zuhri, who said: Urwah ibn al-Zubayr told me, from A'ishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "No affliction befalls a Muslim, even the prick of a thorn, but that it is expiated for him thereby."
