قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ إِنْ كَانَ لَيُوحَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فَتَضْرِبُ بِجِرَانِهَا.
English Translation
Sulayman ibn Dawud told us: Abd al-Rahman informed us, from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from A'ishah, who said: "Revelation would come down upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was on his riding-beast, and it would strike its chest upon the ground."
