حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ حَدِّثِينِي بِأَحَبِّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ كَانَ أَحَبُّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَيْهِ الَّذِي يَدُومُ عَلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسِيرًا.
English Translation
Abu Nu'aym told us: Yunus told us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Aswad, who said: I said to A'ishah, "Tell me about the deed most beloved to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." She said, "The deed most beloved to him was that which a person continued doing regularly, even if it was small."
