حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَابِسِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّمَ لُحُومَ الْأَضَاحِيِّ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ قَالَتْ لَا وَلَكِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ يُضَحِّي مِنْهُنَّ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ لِيُطْعِمَ مَنْ ضَحَّى مَنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا نُخَبِّئُ الْكُرَاعَ مِنْ أَضَاحِيِّنَا ثُمَّ نَأْكُلُهَا بَعْدَ عَشْرٍ.
English Translation
Hasan told us: Zuhayr told us: Abu Ishaq told us, from Abis ibn Rabi'ah, who said: I said to A'ishah, "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbid eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days?" She said: "No, but only a few people used to offer sacrifices, so he did that in order that those who had sacrificed might feed those who had not. We used indeed to store away the trotters from our sacrificial animals, then eat them after ten days."
