حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْبِتْعِ وَالْبِتْعُ نَبِيذُ الْعَسَلِ وَكَانَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ يَشْرَبُونَهُ فَقَالَ كُلُّ شَرَابٍ أَسْكَرَ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ.
English Translation
Affan told us, saying Yazid bin Zuray' told us, saying Ma'mar told us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about al-bit', and al-bit' is honey-nabidh, which the people of Yemen used to drink, and he said: Every drink that intoxicates is forbidden.
