حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْنَا آلُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ بِقَائِمَةِ شَاةٍ لَيْلًا فَأَمْسَكْتُ وَقَطَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ قَالَتْ أَمْسَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَطَعْتُ قَالَتْ تَقُولُ لِلَّذِي تُحَدِّثُهُ هَذَا عَلَى غَيْرِ مِصْبَاحٍ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ إِنَّهُ لَيَأْتِي عَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّهْرُ مَا يَخْتَبِزُونَ خُبْزًا وَلَا يَطْبُخُونَ قِدْرًا قَالَ حُمَيْدٌ فَذَكَرْتُ لِصَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ فَقَالَ لَا بَلْ كُلُّ شَهْرَيْنِ.
English Translation
Bahz told us, Sulayman bin al-Mughirah told us, from Humayd, who said: Aisha said: The family of Abu Bakr sent to us the leg of a sheep at night, so I held it and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cut it -- or she said: the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, held it and I cut it. She said to the one she was narrating to: This was without a lamp. He said: Aisha said: There would come upon the family of Muhammad a month during which they baked no bread and cooked nothing in a pot. Humayd said: I mentioned this to Safwan bin Muhriz, and he said: No, rather every two months.
