حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ الْبَهِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ مَا عَلِمْتُ حَتَّى دَخَلَتْ عَلَيَّ زَيْنَبُ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ وَهِيَ غَضْبَى ثُمَّ قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحْسِبُكَ إِذَا قَلَبَتْ لَكَ بُنَيَّةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ذُرَيِّعَيْهَا ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَتْ إِلَيَّ فَأَعْرَضْتُ عَنْهَا حَتَّى قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دُونَكِ فَانْتَصِرِي فَأَقْبَلْتُ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى رَأَيْتُهَا قَدْ يَبِسَ رِيقُهَا فِي فَمِهَا مَا تَرُدُّ عَلَيَّ شَيْئًا فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَهَلَّلُ وَجْهُهُ.
English Translation
Abdullah bin Muhammad told us -- Abdullah said: and I heard it myself from him -- saying: Muhammad bin Bishr told us, from Zakariyya, from Khalid bin Salamah, from al-Bahi, from Urwah bin al-Zubayr, who said: Aisha said: I did not know until Zaynab entered upon me without permission, angry, then she said to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: I think that when the little daughter of Abu Bakr shows off her legs... then she turned to me, and I turned away from her, until the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Go on, defend yourself. So I turned on her until I saw her saliva had dried up in her mouth; she could not respond to me at all. And I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, his face beaming with joy.
