English Translation
Ali ibn Ayyash told us: Muhammad ibn Mutarrif Abu Ghassan told us: Abu Hazim told us, from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman, from A'isha, who said: The Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded me to give in charity some gold we had, during his illness. She said: Then he regained consciousness and said: "What did you do?" She said: "What I saw of your condition distracted me." He said: "Then bring it to me." She said: So she brought it to him — seven or nine, Abu Hazim was unsure — dinars. When she brought it, he said: "What would Muhammad think, if he were to meet Allah, Mighty and Sublime, with this still in his possession? What would this leave of Muhammad if he met Allah, Mighty and Sublime, with this still with him?"
