حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّاسُ عُمَّالَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ فَكَانُوا يَرُوحُونَ كَهَيْئَتِهِمْ فَقِيلَ لَهُمْ لَوْ اغْتَسَلْتُمْ.
English Translation
Aisha said: "The people used to be their own workers, and they would come (to prayer) in their work clothes. It was said to them: 'If only you would bathe.'"
