English Translation
Aisha described the bathing of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) from major impurity (janabah). She said: "He would begin by washing his hands" - Waki' said: "washing his palms three times" - "then he would perform ablution as for prayer, then he would run his fingers through the roots of his hair until, when he was certain that he had reached the skin, he would pour three handfuls of water over his head, then he would pour water over the rest of his body."
